Adventures

The world famous Apo Island, famed for its spectacular walls, coral gardens, Hawksbill and Green turtles and abundance of marine life is just a short boat ride from the coast. Traveling with guests who don’t dive? Apo Island is full of accessible snorkeling experiences that pair nicely with scuba divers.

If you want to venture even further, we offer dives along Siquijor Island’s dramatic walls and close encounters with Sumilon Island’s reef sharks.

Bikes

The island of Negros is famous for its stunning natural beauty. Dominated in the north by Mount Kanlaon, which is the most active volcano in the Philippines, and in the south by Mount Talinis which just happens to be in our back yard! You’re free to take one of our mountain bikes to explore the local sights, or if you want something more structured, we can arrange a guided mountain bike tour for you for the day.

SUP

Salaya has six SUPs ready for you to take a gentle paddle straight out from the beachfront, or perhaps try a few yoga poses on the early morning ocean while it’s like a mirror – a great way to start the day.

Lessons are available for those who are new to stand up paddle boarding, and we’re happy to take you on a guided tour – anywhere from an hour to a day.

As well as being able to take in the sights from a different perspective, there are some great health benefits to be gained from SUPing!

Hot Springs

Pulang Bato is a small area of outstanding beauty up the mountain from Salaya. Drive up towards these waterfalls, and take in the natural beauty on the way. Your route will take you up along a huge riverbed passing natural sulfur vents from the volcano.

Two waterfalls – one made up of rocks high in iron making them glisten red and the other is a fresh blue pool.

Once you’ve had your fill of waterfalls, head down the hill a little to the natural hot spring pools. Relax in the waters and let the minerals do wonders for your skin.

Zipline

Want to add some adrenaline to your holiday? Tierra Alta is the place to go where a 600 metre long zip line whizzes you along the edge of a gorge. Hold on tight and enjoy the stunning views of the river below.

Culture

Stunning landscapes, wildlife, culture and activities surround Salaya Beach Houses. We understand that while some of our guests are happy to immerse themselves in diving, yoga and activities around the resort, others want to explore more of what the Philippines has to offer.

There’s a huge amount of Spanish and Filipino history to explore, accompanied by one of our expert staff who has intricate knowledge of the area, its history and what it is really like to live here as a local.
