Founded in 1976 by renowned underwater environmental activist Captain Don Stewart, Captain Don's Habitat has pioneered the environmentally friendly developments on the island of Bonaire. His vision is also reflected in the design of the resort. Every detail has been designed to have the least impact on the local environment, from the low impact of construction methods to the use of solar water heaters and energy-saving devices. Set in a lush tropical garden, right on the beach, the resort is known for its relaxed atmosphere and is a true diving paradise. From the resort's private dock, you can sail to more than 50 world-class dive sites within 15 minutes.
Our philosophy of diving freedom combined with great service from our friendly staff, spacious accommodations and a house reef just a few fin kicks from our pier, makes Habitat and Bonaire the best choice for your next (diving) vacation. Discover this year's novelties like our new dock side fill station so you no longer have to carry the dive tanks from top to dock level for shore diving. In addition, there is also a Nitrox filling station on the pier, and our Dive Center takes care of all your diving needs, from simple tank fillings to tri-mix and rebreather support.
With 5 different accommodation types, there is something for everyone to book. From deluxe sea view rooms, to Junior suites and Ocean Front Villas, but also bungalows with 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms. And we are currently expanding from 57 to 90 accommodations.
